Desert Hot Springs Classical Concerts roared back to life this past Sunday with its first live event since March 2020: “Wind Quintets in the Park,” an hour-long performance that filled the amphitheater at Guy Tedesco Park just before sunset.
“After almost two years since presenting our last public concerts, we are beyond thrilled to offer a full season of live in-person performances this February through April,” said Desert Hot Springs Classical Concerts Founder and Artistic Director (and local resident) Danny Holt. “The continued uncertainty around the pandemic has created an exceptional amount of volatility in the performing arts world, making it quite difficult to plan live events. But we are confident that this season can move forward, especially with our first events taking place at outdoor venues,” explained Holt.
The season continues with the fourth annual “Afternoon Concert Crawl” on Saturday, March 5th, featuring outdoor performances at Cabot’s Pueblo Museum, the City Hall Amphitheater, and the new Desert Hot Springs Library. At each venue, short performances will begin at 2pm, 2:45pm, and 3:30pm, making it possible for audience members to attend all three concerts in whatever order they choose.
