The City of Desert Hot Springs is seeking interested candidates to apply for positions on City Commissions for the 2025-2027 term commencing in February 2025. Following is a complete list of Commissions and vacancies.
Requirements:
You must be a resident and registered voter of the City of Desert Hot Springs to serve on a Commission (DHSMC 2.24.040).
Compensation:
Each member of a City Commission shall receive compensation in the amount of $100.00 per meeting attended (DHSMC 2.40).
Appointments – Terms:
The Mayor and each City Councilmember shall appoint one member to each Commission, subject to ratification by a majority of the City Council. Each member of a City Commission is appointed for a two-year term commencing at the February meeting of the year of appointment.

Applications are also available at City Hall. Completed applications may also be submitted to the Office of the City Clerk at 11-999 Palm Drive, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240 or via email to cityclerk@cityofdhs.org.
Application Deadline: The deadline to submit a completed application is January 13, 2025. The City Council is scheduled to consider the appointment at the January 21, 2025 City Council Meeting.
This notice was duly posted as required by law on December 18, 2024. Final appointment will not be made by the City Council for at least ten working days after the posting of this notice at the City Hall Public Notices Board, the City Clerk’s Office, and the City’s Website.
